RCFE: Assisted
Living/Board and Care
When staying at home is no longer possible, there are two different
options. First is the large apartment style assisted living facility
(ALF). Then there is the smaller more intimate setting of home, the
Board and Care RCFE. Both are licensed the same way and are described
within this brochure. Our trained staff can assess your needs and
guide you through the process of finding the appropriate community
based on your individual needs, geographical desires, and most
importantly your budget.
Assisted Living Facilities
These communities are for the more independent senior. The senior who
needs a minimum amount of help with things such as meals, medication
monitoring, laundry and house keeping. They can help most seniors
transition to the idea of not living at home by offering an apartment
like setting, where familiar furniture and personal belongings can be
kept and are encouraged. As an added bonus they also offer plenty of
socialization opportunities with activities to keep one interested in
an active life style while cultivating new relationships.
Board and Care Residential
Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE)
This style of living is more commonly called Board & Care and is the
highest level in assisted living/custodial care. With the intimate
setting of a home and only 6 members to each household, these homes
offer one on one care as no other
facility can.
Set in a residential neighborhood much like your own, caregivers are
available 24 hours a day to provide you or your loved one with
individualized care. Where they offer some of the same things as
assisted living facilities do, they go much further with personal
care. With love and respect, they offer help with transfers,
ambulating, toileting, incontinence care, dressing, bathing, grooming
and much more. Home-cooked meals. one-on-one companion care,
medication monitoring/dispensing are just a few of the advantages of
the board and care setting.
Our trained care
coordinators will assess your situation and match you with the homes
that can best meet your specific needs.
Board and Care homes as well as the ALF's are licensed with the
Department of Social Services and all employees go through
fingerprinting. Lifetime Solutions staff will provide all paperwork
required by the state for placement in any facility larger or small.
We will work directly with the family, discharge planner/soc
ial
worker or doctor to make your transition to an assisted life style as
easy as possible.
